DAVID BOGDAN
TUTORING
About Me
David Bogdan graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University in 2002. After working for a Manhattan-based tutoring company and realizing he could be a more effective tutor using his own methods, David launched his private tutoring practice in 2015. Since then, he has been helping students around the globe improve their grades and gain entry into some of the country's most prestigious high schools, colleges, and universities. David lives with his wonderful wife and daughter in Westchester County, New York, where he meets with students in person and online.

Academics
Academic help can take any number of forms. Some students just need help preparing for a particular test or getting through a tough assignment; other students benefit from working on regular homework assignments together or from having a more thorough review of material to supplement classroom instruction.
Standardized Tests
There is no substitute for mastering the material on any standardized test, but doing well requires more than just that. It's also important to know the test itself, as each one has its own quirks and personality. I work with students on strategies for handling a particular test - how to approach each section and question type - and integrate these ideas into all the work we do on the core content of the test.
Writing and Essays
From small reports and essays to college application essays and term papers, I work with students at every stage of the writing process: brainstorming ideas, refining a thesis, creating an outline, editing and revising rough drafts, and proofreading the final draft.
